Nordtype is an independent type foundry. We design retail typefaces for designers, studios and brands — geometric and grotesque workhorses, considered display faces, and the occasional experiment.

The work is shaped by years of drawing type across studios and cities, including a long stretch in Gothenburg. What carries through is a way of working more than a place: type that holds up in real use, with the craft to make it sing and the restraint to keep it working. Every family is made to be lived with, not just looked at. Fonts are licensed directly here, with fair terms and pricing that scales with how you actually use them.
